What are the First Signs or Symptoms of Diabetic Retinopathy?

Most people have no symptoms till advanced stage of diabetic retinopathy. Symptoms of retinopathy include:

  1. Blurred vision
  2. Floating spots or dark strings (floaters)
  3. Difficulty in identifying colours
  4. Fluctuating vision
  5. Distorted vision (due to macular edema)
  6. Poor night vision
  7. Partial or total loss of vision
