What happens if you Don’t Rotate Insulin Injection sites

Dr. Parimal Tayde
MBBS, MD, DM (Endocrinology)

If you don’t rotate injection sites, you are likely to develop lipohypertrophy.

When you inject insulin in this region, it does not get absorbed consistently as it happens in a normal individual.

This will give rise to wide fluctuations in your blood glucose levels and lead to poor control of diabetes.

Therefore we recommend that get your sites checked by your endocrinologist at every visit to the clinic.
