About this Calculator

The Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) is a measure of body fat distribution that helps assess health risks associated with obesity. It's calculated by dividing waist circumference by hip circumference.

WHR is particularly useful because it distinguishes between:

  • Apple-shaped (central obesity) - higher health risk
  • Pear-shaped (peripheral obesity) - lower health risk

Note: WHR is one of several health indicators. Always consult with your healthcare provider for comprehensive health assessment and personalized recommendations.
