Trying to understand my insulin options after starting new medicines

I've been trying to understand how weekly insulin fits with other diabetes medicines.

I keep seeing discussions about semaglutide, tirzepatide and newer treatments, but I'm not clear whether people can use these along with weekly insulin or if they are usually alternatives.

For people who have experience with combinations of diabetes medicines, how did your treatment plan change over time? Did adding another medicine change your insulin routine?
