Taking a pump break for my vacation

I've been using an insulin pump and have been wondering about taking a temporary break from it.

For example, during a holiday, swimming trips, travel, or just because someone wants a short break from wearing a device, do people ever switch back to injections for a while?

For people who have done this, what was the experience like? Was the transition easier because you already knew how to use injections, or did it take time to adjust again?

I'm interested in understanding the practical side of taking a pump break and how people plan for it.
