School was the hardest part of starting my child's pump

My child recently started using an insulin pump, and managing diabetes at home feels very different from managing it during school hours.

I am trying to understand what teachers, school nurses, and other staff should know about pumps. I do not expect them to manage every detail, but I want them to feel comfortable knowing what to do if something unusual happens.

For parents whose children use pumps at school, what information did you share with teachers? What helped your child feel more independent while still being supported?
