My testing routine changed after starting insulin

I'm trying to understand how often people actually check their glucose depending on their treatment.

I see different advice for people taking tablets, daily insulin, or newer weekly insulin options, but I'm curious how this works in real life.

Do people on tablets usually test every day? Does starting insulin change how often you check? And for people on weekly insulin, is monitoring different?

I'm interested in hearing how people found a routine that works without either ignoring their numbers or becoming stressed by checking too often.

When I was only on tablets, my testing routine was much less frequent than after starting insulin. The biggest change was that I needed more information to understand how my body was responding.

Same here. I used to think checking more often was just about getting more numbers, but it actually helped me understand patterns.
