My surgery team asked about my diabetes medicines

I have been thinking about what people with diabetes should discuss before surgery or an endoscopy.

There are so many things involved, from insulin and glucose monitoring to newer diabetes medicines, and I am wondering what information the anaesthetist needs to know beforehand.

For people who have gone through a procedure, what did you make sure to mention? Did your diabetes devices, injections, tablets, or recent medication changes affect the conversation?

I'm interested in the practical side of preparing for surgery and making sure the medical team has the right information.
