My CGM sensor had to come off before a procedure

I have a CGM sensor on and recently started wondering what happens if it needs to be removed early for a medical procedure.

It seems like some scans or procedures may require sensors to be removed depending on the device and the instructions for that specific model. My main question is what happens to the unused sensor time.

Has anyone had to remove a sensor early for a scan, surgery, or another procedure? Were you able to get a replacement, or did you just accept losing the remaining days?

Also curious how people handle planning around appointments when they are using CGMs.
