My CGM and meter showed completely different numbers

I had a situation where my CGM showed a glucose reading around 65, but when I checked with my glucometer it showed around 100.

That difference made me unsure about which number I should trust and whether I should take action based on the CGM alert.

For people who use both CGMs and finger-stick meters, how do you handle situations where the numbers do not match? Is there a usual reason this happens, like timing differences or sensor issues?

I'm trying to understand how experienced CGM users approach these situations without getting confused.
