I thought a pump would make diabetes easier, but it's complicated

I've been comparing insulin pumps with daily injections and trying to understand what life is actually like with a pump.

From the outside, a pump seems like it would make things easier because you may not need multiple injections every day. But I also hear people mention changing supplies, learning the device, troubleshooting and having another thing to manage.

For people who have used both, did a pump make your daily routine easier or did it just change the type of work involved?

What were the biggest differences you noticed compared with injections?

The biggest difference for me was that the work did not disappear, but it became different. Instead of thinking about injections multiple times a day, I spend more time managing the device and supplies.
