I spent more on a glucose meter but was it worth it?

I've been comparing different glucometers and noticed that some models cost much more than others.

It made me wonder whether a higher price automatically means better accuracy, or if other things like strip quality, testing technique, features and reliability matter more.

For people who have compared budget and premium glucose meters, what differences did you actually notice in daily use?

I'm trying to understand what is worth paying for and what features may just be marketing.

I used to assume the most expensive meter must be the most accurate. After comparing a few options, I realized price alone does not tell the whole story.

For me, the recurring strip cost became a bigger factor than the initial meter price. A device that is affordable to use regularly made more sense.

I think people sometimes focus only on the device and forget that how you use it also affects results. Small habits around testing can make a difference.
