I kept comparing CGMs by MARD and realized I was missing the bigger picture

I have been reading about different CGM systems and keep seeing the term MARD mentioned when people compare accuracy.

At first, I assumed the CGM with the lowest MARD number must automatically be the best choice. But then I started wondering if there are other things that matter, like how the sensor performs in everyday situations, comfort, availability, and how easy the system is to use.

For people who have compared CGMs, how do you interpret MARD? Is it the main thing you look at, or are there other features that matter just as much?

I made the same assumption when I first started researching CGMs. A smaller number looked like an obvious winner, but then I realized accuracy numbers come from specific studies and conditions.

Same here. I was comparing numbers like I compare phone specifications, but medical devices have more things to consider.
