Can a low happen again after insulin?

I had a low blood sugar episode after taking insulin and it made me wonder what happens afterward.

Since some insulin types last for many hours, can the same insulin cause another low later even after you've already treated the first one?

I'm trying to understand how long people usually keep an eye on their levels after a low and what others do to avoid getting caught off guard again.

Would love to hear how people handle this, especially those using long-acting insulin.

Yes, this is something I learned the hard way. Treating the low fixes the immediate problem, but the insulin that caused it may still be working in the background.
