A1C went from 7.4 to 5.8. Honestly didn't expect this

I got my latest blood results today and my A1C is 5.8. It was 7.4 when I was diagnosed with Type 2 earlier this year.

I was genuinely shocked when I first got diagnosed because I felt completely normal. No obvious symptoms, nothing that made me think I had diabetes.

Since then I've mostly focused on things I knew I could actually stick to. I stopped having soft drinks, reduced sweets a lot, cut down my portions of rice and started walking after dinner almost every day. I haven't been perfect at all. There have definitely been weekends where I ate whatever I wanted 😂

But apparently the boring stuff has been working.

I still have a long way to go with my weight, but seeing 5.8 today felt really good. Just wanted to share because a few months ago I was convinced my numbers were only going to get worse from here.

That's a brilliant improvement. Congrats 👏

The fact that you found changes you can actually live with is probably the best part.
